ROLE OVERVIEW
Seeking an experienced Rockwell Automation Engineer with a strong pharmaceutical manufacturing background to serve as an onsite SME for Rockwell, PlantPAx, and FactoryTalk Batch systems. The role involves supporting automation system decisions, implementing new systems, and assisting with the setup of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
About the Position
Client is seeking a Rockwell Automation SME to sit 5 days a week onsite with one of our largest pharmaceutical clients in Rensselaer, NY within the Automation Department. This individual will act as the onsite SME for everything relating to Rockwell, FactoryTalk Batch and PlantPAX systems. They will be contributing to the decision making and set up process of new automation systems for a brand-new drug manufacturing facility. As current automation systems are approaching end of life, they will act as the consultative resource to help FTEs decide on what new systems to adopt and how, in addition to answering questions and providing support as it is requested by automation engineers for Rockwell, FactoryTalk Batch and PlantPAX initiatives. They will be expected to maintain good stakeholder relationships and have excellent cross-functional communication capabilities while assisting the Automation and Engineering department in standing up their new process areas.
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Rockwell Automation Engineer.
- ✓Hands-on experience with PlantPAx and FactoryTalk Batch.
- ✓Strong pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience.
- ✓Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- ✓Ability to work onsite five days per week.
Requirements & Qualifications
- •Experience with FactoryTalk AssetCentre.
- •Knowledge of IT/OT systems and configuration.
- •Experience supporting automation systems in regulated pharmaceutical environments.
- •Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
